A downloadable game for Windows

Clear the Deck is a short third-person shooter where you take control of a lone savior aboard a hostile spaceship. Move, jump, and blast your way through waves of enemies and clear all 15 to reclaim control of the spaceship!

Development & Learning Focus:
This mini project started as part of an Unreal Engine 5 C++ Game Development course on Udemy. After completing the lessons, I continued building it into a small playable experience to deepen my understanding of Unreal’s gameplay framework.

Through this project, I learned how to:

  • Implement character movement, aiming, and shooting mechanics in C++

  • Create enemy AI using Behavior Trees and Blackboard

  • Set up Animation Blueprints and blend states for character actions

  • Integrate input with the Enhanced Input System

Install instructions

Windows Build:

  1. Download the .7z file from the itch.io page.
  2. Extract the contents to any folder using the 7-Zip application.
  3. Run .exe to start the game.

Controls:

  • Movement: W,A,S,D
  • Jump: Space
  • Fire: Left Mouse Button
  • Zoom: Right Mouse Button
